“Internet for Us: A Podcast” - ethnographic podcast on mesh networks
Below, you will find a presentation of a process review for my Anthropology and Design MA thesis: “Internet for Us: A Podcast.” Underneath this slideshow, there are downloadable / streamable files of the five mini-episodes I produced on my fieldwork with a mesh networking community in NYC, including an introduction and a conclusion episode.
I conducted this research for the majority of my MA education in Anthropology at The New School for Social Research. Simultaneously, I incorporated Design techniques into my graduate education from Parsons School of Design. This project showcases my ability to conduct meaningful anthropological field research, while also seeking to deploy design skills to render research findings more accessible, evocative, and informative to a wide breadth of stakeholders.
